Meet the new team members who build, support, and improve UXP for third-party developers
The Unified Extensibility Platform (UXP) community has grown into something special — a place where developers push the limits of what's possible with Adobe's creative applications. Every plugin, every automation, every clever workaround is a reminder of just how much this community builds.
And as that community grows, so does the team behind it. Over the past few months, several of us have joined the UXP team across product, developer relations, and engineering — all focused on one thing: helping you build amazing experiences with UXP, and making that experience better at every step.
I'm one of those new faces, so let me start by introducing myself — and then I'll hand it over to a couple of the people I now have the pleasure of working alongside.I’m one of the new faces. I’ll introduce myself, then hand it to a couple of the people I now work alongside.
Kasi Viswanathan K — Sr Developer Relations Engineer
Hello everyone! My name is Kasi, and I recently joined the Adobe UXP team as a Senior Developer Relations Engineer.
Over the last six years, I've worked closely with developers — understanding their challenges, helping them troubleshoot issues, and finding solutions. Having worked as a software engineer myself, I know firsthand how much the right support and resources can make or break the building experience.
What I enjoy most is connecting with developers, learning about the problems they're trying to solve, and helping them succeed. Building relationships with developer communities and sharing knowledge has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
As I begin this new journey with the UXP team, I'm excited to learn more about the platform, engage with the community, and help developers build amazing experiences. I look forward to listening to your feedback, understanding your challenges, and working together to make the developer experience even better.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing badminton, running, and exploring new places. I've completed several half marathons and am currently training for my first full marathon. Much like software development, distance running has taught me the value of consistency, patience, and continuous learning.
Poonam Tathavadkar — Sr Product Manager
I'm Poonam Tathavadkar, and I'm thrilled to be joining Adobe as the new Product Manager for the Unified Extensibility Platform (UXP)! Originally from India, I moved to the US and completed my Master's in Computer Science at Northeastern University. I spent seven years in San Diego before moving up to the Bay Area, where I've been for the past few years.
Over that time, I had the privilege of growing through several roles at Intuit — from intern to Software Engineer, Accessibility Evangelist, and most recently Product Manager focused on empowering developers. Each chapter taught me something new, and I'm excited to bring that journey with me as I start this next one: serving all of you, our amazing developers.
Outside of work, I'm blessed with a wonderful family — my husband (and best friend) and our two daughters, who keep life wonderfully busy!
I genuinely believe that learning never stops, and I'm looking forward to learning from all of you as we take this community forward, together. So excited to be here!
Karan Singh Chandel — Developer Relations Engineer
Hi everyone! I'm Karan, and I recently joined Adobe as a Developer Relations Engineer on the UXP team.
Before joining Adobe, I worked on building frontend applications and interactive prototypes. I also contributed to RLHF datasets in the software engineering domain, creating and evaluating quality human-labeled data to improve AI model training.
At Adobe, I'll be working on UXP documentation and guides, and engaging with the developer community to help make building with UXP easier. My goal is to learn as much as I can about UXP and turn that knowledge into clear, practical documentation that helps you build with confidence. I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback, understanding the challenges you face, and improving the resources available to the community.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading manhwa, exploring new technologies, and continuously learning. I'm excited to be part of the UXP community and look forward to learning and building alongside all of you.
The road ahead
New teammates like Poonam and Karan, plus a growing engineering team, are why I’m confident about where UXP is headed. Together, we're focused on strengthening the platform and making it easier, faster, and more enjoyable to build with.
Building on recent progress like Premiere Hybrid Plugins, the team is investing in broader UXP coverage across Creative Cloud, deeper product integration, and improvements to the developer experience. If you have feedback, ideas, or challenges you'd like us to hear, please reach out and let us know on the Creative Cloud Developer Forums. I can't wait to learn, build, and grow together with all of you.
