The Problem and Our Solution
Creating amazing digital experiences and meeting the ever-increasing demands of content velocity is tougher than ever. It requires collaboration amongst different teams, each with unique skills and expertise. As a result, creatives often struggle to meet productivity expectations while staying in sync with the rest of their team. We at Adobe are passionate about making the creative world more connected and productive.
Today, we are excited to announce the availability of the Creative Cloud Libraries API to do just that. Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries enables users to capture, organize and share frequently used assets and creative elements across projects, devices, Creative Cloud apps, and teams to produce consistent experiences. According to a recent Pfeiffer report, Creative Cloud Libraries can make creative workflows in an organization up to 8X faster.
As creative processes and cross functional responsibilities continue to become more complex and agile, creating content that customers interact with is no longer confined to the design team. Video, product design, graphic design, marketing and social media teams all create content and many times, different teams use different apps, but all of them are ultimately working on the same projects and the same tight deadlines. With the Creative Cloud Libraries API, developers can unlock key Libraries related workflows for end-users by bringing key creative elements right within their applications.
For Example, Creative Cloud for Google Workspace
By using an app that is integrated with Creative Cloud Libraries, users no longer need to switch between siloed applications to access frequently used creative elements like colors, character styles, logos, graphics, and other brand assets. This gives them more time to focus on creating engaging experiences. For example, the Creative Cloud for Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) integration, enables creatives and stakeholders to access and use creative elements stored in Creative Cloud Libraries directly from Google Slides and Docs to keep your assets on-hand and your projects on-brand.

Check Out Our Supported Features
The Creative Cloud Libraries API lets you bring the following features into your applications:
- Retrieve/Browse Libraries — Creative Cloud Libraries API enables you to get details/metadata of one or more Libraries in a user(s) account. Additionally, you can get a list of elements or information about a specific element in a Library. This provides easy access to creative elements right within your application.
- Create Libraries and elements — Enable your users to create libraries and to add creative elements to their Libraries within your application so that they can start using these creative elements in their favorite Creative Cloud applications right away.
- Get renditions of elements in Libraries — By leveraging the Libraries API, you can make the experience of accessing and using the creative elements in your application rich, contextual and more user friendly by getting the renditions of creative elements that are of Adobe specific file formats such as PSD/AI/IDD.
The Adobe Creative Cloud integration with Google Workspace leverages these features of the API along with the new Google Workspace add-ons framework to create connected and productive workflows for design and marketing teams working across Google’s workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs and Slides.
